For those readers who don’t wear makeup OR those amazing makeup-free days, the reapplication of our favorite sunscreen is a simple task that just takes remembering. However, for the days that we have a full face of makeup on, reapplying a traditional lotion based sunscreen is just not an option. CUE: powdered, translucent sunscreens! Both of the powdered sunscreens below quickly mattify oily spots, come in a convenient tube with an attached applicator brush, and make sunblock reapplication an easy endeavor when wearing makeup.
BRUSH ON BLOCK – Translucent Mineral SPF Powder Sunscreen
- My Review: I really love this product because the applicator is slender, and the powder comes out seamlessly. Sometimes too much powder can come out so remember to close the release once enough sunscreen has made its way into the brush head. I keep this product in my purse and use it often during days spent out in the sun. It’s also worth mentioning that my boyfriend really loves this stuff as well because he doesn’t have to get traditional sunscreen all over his hands. Oh and let’s not forget that this powdered sunscreen is water resistant up to 80 minutes, reef-friendly, and perfect for your scalp as well. All in all, Brush on Block is truly a game changer! And they have a handy dandy refill cartridge 🙂

ILIA – Moondance Radiant Translucent Powder
- My Review: This dispenser can be a little tricky. The powder is so translucent that it can be difficult to know how much sunscreen has made its way into the brush. Because I loved the powder and feel of the brush so much – I slowly accepted the design flaws of this compact applicator. To overcome the trickiness of the dispenser, I started unscrewing the bottom portion that holds the powder and sprinkling a bit onto the brush head or gently dipping the brush hairs into the powder to easily access the product. Ilia’s SPF powder may not be as well designed as the Brush on Block applicator or as easy to use, but it still gets the job done at the end of the day.
