- The Verdict: The first time I used this face mask, I was shocked by the results since it absolutely renewed my skin. I was new to Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids but Biossance’s sugar-derived formula is incredibly gentle and absolutely helps shed dead skin cells off the surface of the face. Other than being jam packed with AHAs, the formula features fine mineral spheres that thoroughly exfoliate your skin plus hyaluronic acid and Biosannce’s signature squalane [different from squalene] to help moisturize the skin. After just 3-10 minutes of relaxing [I leave it on for a full 10 minutes] – gently massage the spheres over your face while rinsing off the mask. COCOKIND – Sea Kale Clay Mask
- The Verdict: This product is perfect for those days when acne, excess oil, and environmental toxins are disrupting your complexion. The oceanic clay, cucumber seed powder, and blue sea kale extract in this mask work together to help decongest the skin, minimize the appearance of pores, exfoliate, clarify, and soothe the face. Unlike some other clay products I’ve used, this Cocokind Sea Kale Clay Mask is not too thick, has a lovely, smooth consistency, and as a result – goes on very easily. The instructions say to leave the mask on for 20 minutes, but I prefer taking it off a touch sooner around the 12 -15 minute mark before it gets too hard. - The Verdict: The best thing about this face mask is the application process! - The Verdict: This kaolin clay based product is truly amazing. It has a much thinner consistency than most masks I’ve used due to the incorporation of raw honey which aids in both exfoliation and hydration. This power packed honey, however, makes the application process a touch messier, but trust me – it’s well worth the effort. Primally Pure is always on their game though and includes a tiny spatula to help you remove the mask from the jar. And although the thinner formula is a little tricky to apply, the relaxation period is A LOT more enjoyable compared to thicker products because the mask always stays pliable. And because the formula does not harden over time, your skin never gets tight making simple movements like smiling and blinking a thing of ease. Some other key ingredients include bakuchiol [a plant-based retinol alternative], hibiscus powder for gentle exfoliation, and rosehip seed oil for a powerful boost of Vitamin C + E. The combination of these naturally occurring components alongside a blend of other active ingredients and organic essential oils greatly helps with cell turnover, dark spot reduction, and the minimization of fine lines and wrinkles.
