I moisturize throughout the year, but now that we are in the thick of autumn and temperatures are cooling down, my skin is in constant need of hydration. Drinking plenty of water, maintaining a well balanced diet, and applying products that contain hyaluronic acid are the main ways I keep my skin hydrated. However, the simple act of applying moisturizers is how I lock in that all important hydration and keep my skin feeling soft, supple, and smooth. See below for some of my current favorites.

HAND & BODY MOISTURIZERS

What I Love About It: So many things!! I am always impressed by the high quality ingredients, the sustainable glass bottle, and the delightful scent every time I use this body butter. I love citrus. I love mint, and I love coconut oil which is why I truly feel like this product was made just for me. It has a great consistency and absorbs both easily and quickly into my skin. A little also goes a long way so this moisturizer, although on the pricier side, will last quite a while. My boyfriend even loves it which makes it a terrific purchase for our household. To put it simply, this godsend of a body butter is luxurious and effective all at the same time. I cannot rave about it enough. And if you aren’t into Citrus + Mint – Primally Pure also carries this phenom in two other scents: Almond + Vanilla and Eucalyptus + Lavender which smell just as spectacular as my go-to scent. The mini 4oz versions make great Christmas gifts – just ask my friends and family 😉

Cocokind: One-For-All Balm

My Rave Review: I first stumbled upon Cocokind while perusing the new clean beauty brands on Target’s website back in 2020. I was struck by the good reviews and quickly made my way to the Cocokind company website to learn more. Long story short, I was thoroughly impressed by what I read and excited to order this multipurpose balm! This product easily sinks into my skin, has a light coconut scent, and is jam packed with excellent ingredients. And like most coconut oil based products, a little goes a long way! I also really love that the tube is small enough to fit into my purse and that a portion of One-For-All Balm sales is donated to charity.

Aveeno: Daily Moisturizing Lotion

What I Love About It: This lotion has been a staple in our household for years! It’s fragrance-free and full of soothing oats & rich emollients. The best thing about this lotion is that it’s budget-friendly and available at mostly every drugstore, standard grocery store, Target, and even Costco. Oh and if it’s good enough for Jen Aniston, it’s good enough for me 😉

Cocokind: Sake Body Lotion

My Rave Review: After enjoying a few of Cocokind’s other products, I decided to give this lotion a try since I really love sake and had personally never seen it used as a skincare ingredient. The fragrance-free formula quickly absorbs into my skin and always leaves my body feeling very hydrated. Other than the fermented rice wine extract that helps support our skin’s microbiome, this lotion contains both sunflower oil and shea butter for their additional benefits.

FACE MOISTURIZERS

Ursa Major: Golden Hour Recovery Cream

What I Love About It: Absolutely everything!! This is the best night cream I have ever used, and I am legitimately obsessed with it. The cream is a beautiful pale yellow and has such a seductive yet light aroma. It’s packed with high quality ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, sea buckthorn, calendula, neroli, sandalwood, and rose. The texture is rich and luxurious yet it absorbs quickly into my skin. Every time I use this miracle elixir, I truly feel like a million bucks since it always leaves my face feeling so nourished, hydrated, and refreshed. I wear this cream primarily in the evening and sometimes during the day when my skin needs an extra boost & I have no plans of going into the sun. A little goes a long way; so although it’s up there in price – it will last you a good while. This golden goddess of a cream is a gift from heaven and an absolute must try for anyone seeking to pamper themselves during their evening skincare routine.

Primally Pure: Clarifying Cream

My Rave Review: This tallow-based face cream, thoroughly moisturizes my face without leaving it feeling greasy. The formula is rich but light all at the same time. And as you guessed it, a little goes a long way with this cream. I suggest using a pea sized amount at first and then adding a bit more if necessary. The Clarifying Cream has an invigorating herbal aroma that I absolutely love along with beneficial ingredients like manuka and neroli. If you’re a strict vegan, this product may not be for you since it contains both emu oil and the tallow from grass-fed cows. Primally Pure prides itself on responsible and ethical sourcing so I, personally, am okay with buying this product because animal-based fats are full of essential vitamins known for their healing properties. They also carry a plumping cream and soothing cream in their moisturizer line.

LIP MOISTURIZERS

Cocokind: Mymatcha All-Over Moisture Stick

What I Love About It: How three simple ingredients can create one perfect product! I originally purchased this moisture stick because I absolutely love matcha and was intrigued by the great reviews. I figured I would primarily use this product under my eyes and on the occasional patch of dry skin. However, I decided to try it on my lips a day or two after opening it and immediately fell head over heels with how magnificently it moisturized and nourished my lips. I am obsessed with all things chapstick and immediately knew that the Mymatcha Stick was a game changer seconds after application! Since that day, I have mainly used this product as a lip balm. It smells delicious and just like the perfect green tea dessert – nutty, grassy, and slightly sweet. Each ingredient [coconut oil, beeswax, and matcha tea powder] is certified organic and perfectly blended together. The Mymatcha Stick is truly one of the best things I’ve discovered in recent years. Fun Fact: I have purchased many of these tubes as Christmas gifts!

Primally Pure: Lip Balm

My Rave Review: These all natural lip balms are great! I first tried out the grapefruit scent and am currently using the peppermint version which I think I enjoy just a touch more. The classically sized tubes fit perfectly in my purse and also make for the perfect gift! I also love the affordable price point considering it’s a boutique, clean beauty product. Fun fact: I have also purchased these for friends and family as they much a lovely holiday and birthday present.
