Ursa Major – Skincare Review: Part 2

A few years ago, I published my very first Ursa Major review. At the end of the post, I mentioned that I was excited to try their Vitamin C Serum at some point down the road. That road was a little bit longer than anticipated, but I finally got around to purchasing their raved about brightening serum a few months ago in addition to a few other items. Keep on reading for my honest review.

First things first…

I think it’s worth mentioning that Ursa Major is a Certified B Corp and Certified Plastic Negative via their partnership with rePurpose Global. They are continuously striving to make both their products and packaging as sustainable as possible. To top it off, Ursa Major products are Made in the USA and formulated with high quality, naturally-derived ingredients. These are just a few reasons why I love this Vermont-based skincare company so much!

Okay, now that you know a little bit more about Ursa Major’s business practices, let’s review some of their skincare staples…

Brighten Up Vitamin C Serum

• The Verdict: As mentioned above, I have been wanting to try this serum for quite some time. Unlike other products on the market, Brighten Up Vitamin C Serum is not oily or greasy. The lightweight formula is a beautiful pale yellow and bursting with vibrant scents of citrus. The serum applies smoothly and absorbs quickly into my skin which makes it a great standalone product or as the first layer beneath your daytime or evening moisturizer. I personally only wear it in the evening so the powerful yet gentle ingredients such as aspen bark, rose hip, edelweiss, and ascorbic acid polypeptides can work their magic while I sleep. Ursa Major’s Brighten Up Vitamin C Serum was absolutely worth the wait and definitely worth a try!

Let’s take a look at the other Ursa Major product I decided to try out this summer…

Force Field SPF 30

• The Verdict: I have completely fallen in love with this brand new SPF moisturizer! I wasn’t a fan of their older, now discontinued daily face balm since it did not offer any sun protection. However, this latest product is a dream come true! The formula is lightweight, incredibly hydrating, and perfect for daily use under makeup. This magic broad-spectrum sunscreen blends into my darker skin almost instantly leaving zero white cast! In addition to the 14.95% of non nano zinc oxide that blocks the sun, Force Field contains lingonberry stem cells and eldoc flower which both aid in improving skin texture. I will absolutely be purchasing this SPF again and suggest you give it a try if you’re a fan of mineral-based sunscreens.

Time for an oldie, but a goodie…

Fantastic Face Wash

• The Verdict: I really love this cleanser! It’s gentle, smells absolutely wonderful, lathers nicely, and leaves my skin feeling squeaky clean and invigorated after each use. Key ingredients include aloe, white tea, lemon, spearmint, lime, cedar, and sugar maple. Other than the high quality formula, I love how much my boyfriend enjoys using Fantastic Face Wash as well – which in my opinion makes this product great for the entire family if you’re shopping for more than just yourself. It is a definite must-try product if you are on the hunt for a new face wash.

And last but not least, a nod to my absolute favorite evening moisturizer…

Golden Hour Recovery Cream

• The Verdict: This night cream is pure perfection and worth every penny. It is a gorgeous, pale yellow color and has such a seductive yet light aroma. The formula is packed with high quality ingredients such as sea buckthorn, calendula, neroli, sandalwood, and rose. The texture is rich and luxurious yet absorbs quickly into my skin. Every time I use this miracle elixir, my face is left feeling incredibly nourished, hydrated, and refreshed. I primarily wear this night cream in the evening but sometimes also during the day when my skin needs an extra boost. A little goes a long way so it will last you a good while. Golden Hour Recovery Cream is a must-have moisturizer for anyone seeking to pamper themselves during their evening skincare routine.

Every time I use an Ursa Major product, I literally feel like a million bucks. This feeling on top of the sustainable business practices & high quality, natural ingredients makes this brand a real winner in my opinion.
