I have been a fan of the Cocokind brand for years & recently gave a few different products a try. Keep on reading for my honest review.
- The Verdict: I have been wanting to try this clarifying face wash for a while & am honestly still deciding how I feel about it. Key exfoliating ingredients include hibiscus flower acids, fermented grape extract, betaine, hyaluronic acid, and glycerin. Since it contains Alpha Hydroxy Acids – I use this cleanser in the evening about 2-3 nights a week. I always like to see if a face wash can remove all of my makeup upon first use. Unfortunately, this product does not so I always oil cleanse prior to washing my face with this product. The reason I feel indifferent about the AHA Jelly Cleanser is because although it leaves my skin feeling very soft afterwards, I do not think it minimizes the appearance of my pores. The smell of this face wash is also incredibly unpleasant. Despite that, I do think this may be a great item for those with incredibly congested skin. For me, however, this cleanser ranks as a so-so product that I could go without.

- Recommended Alternative (Daily Face Wash): I have purchased Cocokind’s Oil to Milk Cleanser more than once. If you are a fan of gentle formulas and cream cleaners you cannot go wrong with this product!
- Recommended Alternative (AHA Face Wash): For a product that exfoliates, check out Acure’s Resurfacing Glycolic Acid & Unicorn Root Cleanser.
- The Verdict: Unlike the AHA Jelly Cleanser, this product is an absolute win in my opinion! I typically do not prefer gel style lotions, but this formula has a dreamy consistency that is both lightweight and effective at throughly hydrating my skin for the whole day. It works beautifully alone and also layers wonderfully underneath both my mineral-based sunscreens & mineral-based, powered makeup. Some standout ingredients include Magnesium PCA, Zinc PCA, and Sodium PCA. All three of these PCAs (Pyrrolidone Carboxylic Acids) act as powerful humectants that aid in moisture retention, oil reduction, and skin barrier protection. This cream also contains Microalgae Peptides to reduce the redness in skin plus Beta-Glucan for added hydration. If you’re looking for an unscented, daily moisturizer please give this product a try & let me know what you think in the comments below. Fun Fact: I wore this cream so regularly that I had to buy a second tube while still trying to finish the other Cocokind products in this review. It’s that good!

- The Verdict: I have actually been using this product for years but still wanted to include it in this review because I continue to purchase this mineral-based lotion & continue to enjoy the formula. Cocokind’s broad-spectrum sunscreen contains 21% Non-Nano Zinc Oxide and has an SPF of 32. The consistency is perfect as it’s not too thick and absorbs quickly into my skin. Upon first application, there is a slight white cast, but it seamlessly disappears after just 10-20 seconds of rubbing it in. I have brown skin so a sunblock that has an invisible finish is an absolute must for me! The formula is unscented and full of phytoplankton which helps protect skin from photoaging and the negative effects of blue light. The product is a touch mattifying so it’s great for normal to oilier complexions. It can be used alone or on top of a daytime moisturizer. The only downside if I had a pick something is that Cocokind’s Daily SPF is, unfortunately, not water resistant. Aside from that, it’s quite fantastic!

Resurrection Polypeptide Cream
- The Verdict: I wore this product in the evening and am happy to report that it throughly moisturized my skin. The texture of the cream is slightly off-putting at first since it is incredibly thick and a bit tacky. However, once you get past this, the product does its job well. Hero ingredients include polypeptide complex, squalane, plant extracts, and watermelon seed oil. I enjoyed the pastel purple hue and how the cream left my skin feeling hydrated and supple. I definitely recommend using this product at night, during colder months, and/or whenever your skin is feeling extra dry. Please give it a shot and let me know what you think in the comments below.

Chlorophyll Discoloration Correcting Serum
- The Verdict: I have been wanting to try this serum for quite some time since I suffer from hyperpigmentation and because the product is so well-reviewed! I was also very curious & excited to try a skincare product with chlorophyll in it. The other key ingredients that piqued my interest were licorice root for uneven skin tone and alpha arbutin for dark spots. I ended up using this serum on nights that I did not wear the Resurrection Polypetide Cream. Although slightly sticky, the formula felt nice on my skin and provided enough moisturizing effects to wear alone without a cream. The deep green color is stunning, and the scent in wonderful as the serum has both herbal and earthy notes. I also love that a little goes a long way so one bottle lasts a good while. Despite all of these positive traits, I have to say that I do not think this serum lessened the appearance of my dark spots. It may have assisted in reducing redness, but since I was looking for a significant lightening of my hyperpigmentation I wasn’t completely satisfied. However, just because I personally did not notice an improvement in my dark spots that does not mean this correcting serum won’t work for you. For that reason, I definitely think it’s still worth a try!

- The Verdict: This product features Persian silk tree extract for puffiness, oat extract for hydration, and hibiscus acids for gentle exfoliation. Although I didn’t personally notice a reduction in the appearance of dark circles, I enjoyed the cooling nature of the metal tip applicator & how nicely it moisturized under and around my eyes. For that reason alone, I actually might purchase this product again.

- The Verdict: Unlike the Revitalizing Eye Cream mentioned above, I would not purchase this particular eye gel again. Although the pale pink color is lovely, I do not think the ceramides, lipids, squalane, and peptides in this formula did much for my under eye area. The product also made my eyes sting on occasion when it got got too close to my tear ducts and outer eye. For those two reasons, I’m happy to stick with the less expensive option above. However, since I’m not one to ever waste a product – I started to use this eye cream as my evening moisturizer once my Resurrection Polypeptide Cream ran out. I also used it on my smile lines to see if it would help in softening those natural creases. Overall, this product may be more suited for slightly maturer skin.
