Simple & Delicious Banana Bread

INGREDIENTS

  • Flour [ 1 Cup ]
  • Baking Soda [ 3/4 Teaspoon ]
  • Baking Powder [ 3/4 Teaspoon ]
  • Salt [ 1/4 Teaspoon ]
  • Sugar [ 1/3 Cup ]
  • Egg [ 1 ]
  • Banana [ 1 Large Overly Ripe Banana ]
  • Vanilla Extract [ A Splash – About 1 Teaspoon ]
  • Milk [ 1/2 Cup ]
  • Melted Butter [ 1/4 Cup ]
  • Hot Water [ 1/4 Cup ]
  • Maple Syrup [ A Drizzle – About 1 Tablespoon ]
  • Walnuts [ A Handful – About 1/4 Cup ]
  • Butter or Cooking Spray [ To Grease The Pan ]

  • Small Dish or Small Saucepan

YIELD

You can easily slice this banana bread into 8 good-sized pieces.

Step One

Have fun!

Step Two

Preheat your oven to 350°.

Add the flour, baking soda, baking powder, sugar, and salt in your mixing bowl.

Peel the banana, place it on a plate or in a bowl, and use the back of a fork to mash it.

Step Seven

Add the mashed banana, egg, milk, and vanilla extract straight into the bowl with the dry ingredients.

Whisk to combine.

Add in the melted butter, and whisk to combine.

Add in your boiling water, and whisk to combine once more.

Remove the banana bread from the pan using the parchment flaps.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST

You can elevate your banana bread by serving it with some high quality butter, slices of fresh banana, brûléed bananas, a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream, or even a chocolate sauce drizzle.
